Entries are now invited for the H-WRBI Best Essay/Article in the English Language by an Early Career Researcher. Applicants must be current doctoral students or recent graduates (not more than five academic years) of a doctoral programme. Exceptions will be made for those who have had their careers interrupted or delayed for reasons due to illness, maternity / parental leave, etc. The essay/article should engage substantially with an aspect of the history of women religious in Britain and/or Ireland, and should have been written between Jan 2023-April 2025. Published and unpublished works are eligible. Word count: 5000 minimum and 8000 max. including all references. Your name, email, affiliation where relevant, and a contact address must be clearly indicated on the work. Work which has been submitted for this award in the past may not be resubmitted.
The winner will be announced at the annual conference in 2025.
