Registration
- Register for the annual conference. Final call for late registrations closes on 15 May.
- University accommodation at conference prices are not available after 29 March as spaces are limited.
- After the deadline of 29 March, university accommodation at higher rates can be booked via St Andrews Holiday Accommodation

Conference Venue
- The conference takes place at Parliament Hall, St Mary’s College, St Andrews, KY16 9QW
- This is about a 10 minute walk from university accommodation at McIntosh Hall.
Bursary Applications
- We invite applications for bursaries for students, early career, and independent researchers.
- Bursaries are limited to the cost of registration and may include the conference dinner.
- Deadline for bursary applications has been extended to 20 March 2024. Bursary applications are now * closed *
Accommodation
- On campus accommodation is bed and breakfast and single or twin options are available. These are booked with registration.
- University accommodation at conference prices are not available after the deadline as spaces are limited.
- After the deadline of 29 March, university accommodation at higher rates can be booked via St Andrews Holiday Accommodation
- Other options are available via booking.com or other accommodation webpages.
- Please note that there is public transport to St Andrews from areas further afield should participants wish to stay elsewhere.
Conference Dinner
- The conference dinner will be held at St Andrews. Participants can opt in for the conference dinner via registration and price of £30 includes a three course meal, and service charge (tip).
- The conference dinner can be reserved here no later than 15 May.
- Dinner will be at Zizzi’s in St Andrews
- Dinner menus are available, and include vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.

- Alcoholic beverages are not included.
Travel
- St Andrews University provides information on getting to the city by various means.
- For train services from Edinburgh: take the Edinburgh to Dundee or Edinburgh to Aberdeen line to Leuchars; Leuchars is the closest train station to St Andrews and connected by taxi or bus.
- For those flying into Edinburgh, you can travel to the Edinburgh Gateway station and join a train for Leuchars; Leuchars is the closest train station to St Andrews and connected by taxi or bus.
- For trains from Glasgow Queen Street, alight at Edinburgh Haymarket for trains to Dundee or Aberdeen.
- For buses from Glasgow Buchanan Street, the timetable for the Stagecoach X24 is available directly to St Andrews Bus Station, Fife.
- For services from Edinburgh Airport on Stagecoach buses, you can plan your journey here. Take Edinburgh to Halbeath and then switch to Halbeath to St Andrews Bus Station, Fife.
- Timetable for the Stagecoach X747 from the Edinburgh Airport to Halbeath; then the X59 Halbeath to St Andrews Bus Station, Fife.
- The St Andrew’s Stagecoach/ bus station is around a 5 minute walk to university accommodation at McIntosh Hall.
